A month-long coffee crawl across Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti began Oct. 15 with passes already sold out.
The Ann Arbor Fall Coffee Crawl, organized by Coffee Crawls, runs through Nov. 15. Customers who bought a $20 digital pass receive a one-time $5 credit at each participating shop and can visit at their own pace, according to The Michigan Daily and the organizer’s event page.
The Daily reported that 12 independent shops are participating. The organizer’s page displays 12 shop listings, although its heading says 11. Participating businesses include Orijin Bakery, Recess Cafe and Zingerman’s Coffee Company.
Coffee Crawls limits pass availability to keep participating businesses from being overwhelmed, according to its website.
Audrey Hall, bakery manager at Orijin Bakery, told the Daily that the event offered an opportunity to introduce the newer cafe to customers.
"Being a very new cafe, we really liked the idea of participating in the coffee crawl and meeting first-time guests," Hall said.
People who missed out can join a waitlist for the next season through the Coffee Crawls event page.
