The Ann Arbor Film Festival will screen award-winning short films under the stars at Burns Park on Thursday, Sept. 10, reviving its free "Walk Right In" outdoor series for another year.
The screening runs from 7 to 9 p.m. at the park, 1300 Baldwin Ave. The curated program lasts about 40 minutes and features short films that won awards at the 64th Ann Arbor Film Festival, which ran March 24–29 at the Michigan Theater. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Food will be available on-site.
Admission is free and open to all ages. A suggested $5 donation supports the upcoming 65th festival, scheduled for March 23–28, 2027.
The festival described the evening as an opportunity to see some of its most celebrated films in a casual outdoor setting, according to its Aug. 6 announcement. Walk Right In is a recurring series. A previous edition at Burns Park carried a suggested $8 donation; this year's is $5.
The AAFF, founded in 1963, is an Academy Award-qualifying festival and nonprofit that receives more than 3,000 submissions annually from over 65 countries.
