Nineteen companies are hiring, and they're all in one room Tuesday, Sept. 22.

Ann Arbor SPARK's a2Tech360 opens Tuesday, Sept. 22, with a career fair called Tech Homecoming, running 4 to 7 p.m. today at Venue by 4M in Ann Arbor. The region's annual tech showcase runs through Friday, Oct. 2, with more than 20 events across the Ann Arbor area. The series is free and open to the public, according to WEMU.

Tech Homecoming connects job seekers with 19 employers that are actively hiring. Attendees get free professional headshots, food, drinks and networking time. Job seekers pay nothing; companies pay $150 for a booth, according to Ann Arbor SPARK's registration announcement.

The 2025 career fair drew more than 700 job seeker registrations, up 30% from 2024, with 15 hiring companies, according to Ann Arbor SPARK. This year's fair added four more employers.

The 10-day lineup builds toward Tech Trek on Friday, Oct. 2, when more than 60 companies will set up along Liberty Street between Division and Fifth Avenue from 1 to 5 p.m. Exhibitors will demo AI, aerospace, mobility and software products. Oracle and OpenAI are presenting sponsors of Tech Trek and Tech Talk.

Nearby in Liberty Plaza, Tech Talk will feature live demonstrations of drones, virtual reality and gaming technology starting at 1:30 p.m. Dr. Margarita Hernandez of Chingona Consulting, a former Ann Arbor SPARK team member, will emcee. Ann Arbor-based Navitas Systems, an advanced battery manufacturer, is providing mobile power for both events.

"Tech Trek has evolved so much over the years, but what I love most about it hasn't changed — it gives people a chance to experience just how much innovation is happening right here in our community," a2Tech360 program manager Lydia Mitchell said in a Sept. 15 statement.

Other highlights include the Invest360 Summit & Pitch Competition on Wednesday, Sept. 23, where 15 startups will compete for $200,000 in investment prizes. The FastTrack Awards follow Friday, Sept. 25, with new categories for Community Impact and Small Business Excellence. A Women in Tech conference takes place Monday, Sept. 28, at Washtenaw Community College, with tickets at $75.

Jennifer Hayman, senior vice president of marketing, communications and events at Ann Arbor SPARK, told WEMU that the organization was named one of America's best incubators and accelerators of 2026 by Time magazine.

In 2025, a2Tech360 drew more than 4,196 registrations and featured 79 companies across its events, according to SPARK. Attendees can register for individual events or buy an All Access Pass for $360.

The series wraps Oct. 2 with a free after party at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum from 6 to 9 p.m. The 21-and-over event requires registration. The full schedule is at a2tech360.com.
