The Apple Store at Briarwood Mall has reopened in what the company is calling an "all-new" location, giving Ann Arbor shoppers a redesigned retail space at 100 Briarwood Circle.

The store reopened Friday, July 31, with a refreshed design, according to the Ann Arbor News/MLive. Reporter Khalil-Lullah Ballentine reported the reopening at the Briarwood Circle address. Apple's retail page lists the store — coded R230 — as open for in-store shopping and pickup, with hours of 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Whether the project was a renovation or a full relocation within the mall remains unclear. Apple SVP of Retail Deirdre O'Brien described the Ann Arbor and a simultaneous Colorado Springs location as "all-new" stores in an Instagram post on Monday, Aug. 3.

Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing and a University of Michigan alumnus, celebrated the reopening on X on Saturday, Aug. 1: "As a proud Michigander and @UMich alum, I'm excited to celebrate the reopening of Apple Briarwood in Ann Arbor. I can't wait to visit in person!"

The reopening adds to a wave of investment along the Briarwood corridor. The Harlan, a 370-unit luxury apartment complex developed by Hines and Simon on the mall's former Sears site, was leasing units ahead of an expected Aug. 15 opening, MLive reported in April. A Harvest Market grocery store opened next door on April 15.
