Ten Ann Arbor-area girls golfers earned spots on MLive's 2026 fall watch list, spanning seven schools and headlined by the defending Division 2 state champion Dexter Dreadnaughts.

MLive/The Ann Arbor News published the list on Tuesday, Sept. 1. The golfers represent Ann Arbor Huron, Ann Arbor Skyline, Ann Arbor Pioneer, Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard, Chelsea, Dexter and Saline. Seven of the 10 are seniors.

The biggest storyline sits in Dexter, where junior Maddy Manning inherits the lead role on the defending state championship team. Her older sister, Avery, graduated after leading the Dreadnaughts to the Division 2 title in October 2025 at Bedford Valley in Battle Creek. Dexter won by 15 strokes with a two-day total of 643, according to The Detroit News. Avery finished third individually with a 154.

Maddy placed eighth at the Division 2 state finals and second at regionals last fall. Senior Morgan Pomerantz, who finished 23rd at regionals and 39th at states, returns alongside her.

Huron brings back two golfers with state-level experience. Senior Tia Tarnal finished second overall at regionals in 2025 after posting several victories during her junior season. Senior Ellise Baidel placed fourth at regionals and 45th at the D1 state finals.

Skyline's senior duo of Olivia Housler and Suriya Ailawadi gives the Eagles depth at the top of the lineup. Housler finished 19th at the D1 state finals and sixth at regionals last year. Ailawadi placed fourth at regionals and third at the 2025 SEC-Red Championship. She already has an early-season victory in 2026, according to MLive.

At Pioneer, senior Claire Kohn has opened the season as the team's top golfer with top-10 finishes in two outings. She placed 16th at regionals in 2025.

Father Gabriel Richard junior Josephine Woodsum started the 2026 season with two victories after finishing 19th at regionals as a sophomore.

The youngest name on the list may be the splashiest. Saline freshman Ella Aagesen shot a career-low 38 with two birdies, including a chip-in, on Friday, Aug. 28, at Brookside Golf Course to win both of her matches against Jackson and Bedford, according to The Saline Post. Saline's varsity squad opened the season 4-0 and tied for first in the SEC Red Division.

Chelsea senior Leighton Diesing rounds out the group. She took 31st at the D3 state finals in 2025 and helped the Bulldogs win the SEC-White Championship.
