Four monster trucks will crush cars at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds on Saturday, Aug. 22, when Monster Truck Wars stages its first-ever Ann Arbor show.

The touring production brings two performances to the venue at 5055 Ann Arbor-Saline Road: a noon matinee and a 6 p.m. evening show, each running about 90 minutes. The event listing describes it as the tour's only regional appearance, according to the Saline Post.

The truck lineup includes Shark Attack, T-Rex, Outlaw and Locomotive, which is on its debut tour. Fans can also ride in the Sergeant Smash monster truck.

Beyond the main competition, the card features Quad Wars, a professional ATV racing event with a cash purse, and Kids Power Wheel Races for children ages 3 to 9. Kids must bring their own power wheel; spots can be reserved at the event's website, monstertrucks.fun.

Pre-show pit party

Each show is preceded by a Pit Party and Kids Fun Zone where families can see the trucks up close and kids can use a bounce house. VIP gates open at 10 a.m. for the matinee and 4 p.m. for the evening show, with general admission gates opening 30 minutes later. The Pit Party runs until 11:30 a.m. for the matinee and 5:30 p.m. for the evening show.

Pit Party admission is $5, cash only at the venue, and is included with VIP tickets. Attendees need a show admission ticket before purchasing a Pit Party pass.
