Adrienne Schadler finished second in the 200-meter freestyle and third in the 400-meter freestyle at the Speedo Junior National Championships, posting a 200-meter time ranked among the world's top 150 swimmers and cementing the Skyline High School senior as one of Michigan's elite prep distance swimmers.

Schadler clocked 2:00.22 in the 200-meter free and 4:15.76 in the 400-meter free during the Aug. 3–7 meet in Irvine, California, according to Ann Arbor Public Schools. She set personal bests in every event she entered, adding top-10 finishes in the 800-meter freestyle (8:53.41) and the 100-meter freestyle (55.88). Her 100-meter free time ranks 14th nationally among 17- and 18-year-olds.

Every event was a personal best.

The Junior Nationals capped a two-week California trip that began at the Toyota U.S. Open Nationals, held July 28 through Aug. 1 at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center. There, Schadler placed 24th overall in the 100-meter freestyle at 56.16 seconds, earning a berth in the 18-and-under final. She was the only swimmer from her Club Wolverine squad to advance and compete across all five days of the U.S. Open.

Club Wolverine is the Ann Arbor-based USA Swimming club affiliated with the University of Michigan, routinely ranked the No. 1 club team in the state.

"I am so thankful for this opportunity and thrilled to see all the hard work with my coaches paid off on such a major stage," Schadler said.

Schadler spent the full two weeks in California accompanied by her mother. She will swim for both Skyline and Club Wolverine during her senior year, with the high school season set to open in fall 2026.
