The Warren Road Bridge over US-23 in Ann Arbor remains closed through Nov. 15, according to the Washtenaw County Road Commission's (WCRC) weekly road work schedule. That timeline has been extended from the original target completion date.
Drivers on M-14 face a lane closure through Nov. 15, while shoulder restrictions on US-23 at Warren Road are also scheduled through Nov. 15. The schedule covers Monday, Oct. 5, through Sunday, Oct. 11, and all dates are subject to change due to weather or other circumstances, the commission said. Here are the restrictions most likely to affect Ann Arbor-area commuters.
Highway closures
Eastbound M-14 between Newport Road and northbound US-23 has a lane closure through Nov. 15. The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is managing that project.
Northbound and southbound US-23 at Warren Road have shoulder closures through Nov. 15 as part of MDOT bridge work.
Local road closures
Thornoaks Road between Huron River Drive and East Huron River Service Drive has a daytime road closure Thursday, Oct. 8, and Friday, Oct. 9.
Ellsworth Road between Wagner Road and Maple Road in Lodi Township has a daytime road closure Monday, Oct. 5, through Wednesday, Oct. 7.
Warner Road between Bemis Road and Michigan Avenue in York Township is shut down through Oct. 16. Detours are posted.
Longer-term closures
The Sharon Valley Road Bridge between Sharon Hollow Road and Meyers Road in Sharon Township closed Monday, Oct. 5, and will remain shut through September 2027. A detour is in effect.
Six Mile Road between Raphael Street and Turnberry Drive in Northfield Township is closed through Nov. 4.
The Main Street Bridge between Jennings Road and Tillman Court remains closed through mid-November with a detour. North Territorial Road between Hellner Road and Whitmore Lake Road has lane closures and restrictions through Oct. 12, with a detour in effect.
Ypsilanti area
Textile Road between Tuttle Hill Road and Huron River Drive is fully closed through Oct. 12 with a detour. Merrill, McKinley and Harding avenues also have restrictions through Friday, Oct. 9.
Soft-surface roads
Drivers in Augusta, Lima, Manchester, Northfield, Salem and Scio townships should expect intermittent lane restrictions during the week on primary and local soft-surface roads.
